Team Deathmatch Classic is an upcoming first-person Team Fortress 2-esque game being developed by Compucolor Pictures. It has been in development since 2017. The game originally started as a split from the cut Team Fortress 2 Classic deathmatch mode after the Team Fortress 2 developers deemed the mode "too large" and stated that "any gamemode that disables classes/weapons to function goes against some of the core principles of Team Fortress 2."
Team Deathmatch Classic is set in the gritty underworld of 1970s New York City and its surrounding areas, The game puts players in control of a gang of criminals navigating the city's dangerous streets. Unlike traditional class-based shooters, the game emphasizes weight-class-based movement mechanics, influencing mobility and combat dynamics based on character physique rather than predefined weapon loadouts.
